This is "getting better"

I woke up to see my son's eye swollen shut on Sunday. He didn't tell me it hurt, he wasn't rubbing it, he wasn't bothered when I touched it to look in it. All day Sunday in the ER left us with a cranky baby, a prescription for Augmentin, and orders to see his pediatrician who was the one who told us to go to the goddamn ER in the first place. They told me his fall on Thursday has nothing to do with his eye looking this way, but it couldn't be pink eye because it's not leaking the goopy stuff. They didn't irrigate his eye, they didn't put any drops in, they gave him benadryl because they thought it was an allergy. The benadryl didn't work after three hours "in observation." So basically, these people with medical degrees couldn't even make an effort to give me some peace of mind and try to figure out what the fuck is wrong with my baby's fucking eye.
So right now I'm sitting in my office redialing his pediatrician's office over and over like an obsessed ex-girlfriend because all five of their lines are busy.

I don't know why the Doctors always tell you to go to the ER. Because they always tell you to go back to your Doctor. I hope his eye gets better soon.

Sorry to hear that Little Man is having a rough time. I agree about the ER. I honestly only got to Children's Hospital's ER if the need arises. It's a lot farther from my house but it's better equipped for kids (obviously). Besides our local hospital doesn't even have a wing where they treat kids anymore. So why bother going there?

Let us know what happens at the doctors office okay?

So, there is no drainage indicating an infection, but they gave him an antibiotic anyway?
Hope you find an answer, and it gets better real soon. Let us know!
