A girl can dream

My sister's boss eloped for her wedding last year. They had a Maui Wedding, complete with the bare feet on the beach, leis around their necks, natural beautiful sunset in the backround...
I wish I could have a wedding in Hawaii. I remember the day she came with the photos for the first time I looked at them dreaming that could have been me and Daddy. My sister told me she had brought the photo album in for one of their clients to see and it sparked a sense of nostalgia in the place, where everyone was sighing and smiling and dreaming. My cousin's recent wedding on the beach was beautiful, but it wasn't Hawaii. I'm sure my cousin would have loved to get married there, but I doubt the family would have gone and paid for those plane tickets...

While we were in Kauai we saw a few weddings. There weren't very many people at them (which kind of defeats the purpose of a wedding).

I would much rather use the money to go on a great vacation. But that's me.

Aw, man. If you ever decide to get married again in Hawaii, invite me...PLEASE.

Strangely, I have never longed for a beach wedding. Too much sun. Too much sand. And if there is too much sun then it means too much hot sand. Don't even get me started on the water..!

However, I am 100% supportive of your dreams! I hope someday the husband surprises you with an affirmation ceremony on the beach!!

and if he seems to be slow on the uptake show him today's post! :)

Ahhh, how this brough back memories. I, too, eloped and got married barefoot - on the beach - at sunset. It was a dream and completely stress-free! I highly recommend it!

Hawaii beach wedding....that would be wonderful. Hubby went to Hawaii years ago with his mom when his older brother was in the army and stationed there.

What I wouldn't have given to have been able to go. Maybe one day....perhaps like Supermom I will be invited to attend when you and daddy renew your vows on the beach.
